The rules for using Kyoos, written in the same language we'd explain them in over a coffee. If anything is unclear, email legal@kyoos.io and a real human will reply.
By creating an account or booking a job through Kyoos, you agree to these terms. They apply equally to clients booking work, pros taking work, and anyone browsing the public site.
If you're using Kyoos on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company.
Kyoos accounts are for people 18 or older with a verifiable identity in Ghana (and, soon, Nigeria, Kenya, and Senegal). Pros must additionally pass our verification process before taking jobs.
When a client books a pro through Kyoos, the contract for the work is between the client and the pro. We facilitate matching, payment, ratings, and dispute resolution — but the work itself is theirs.
This means pros are independent professionals, not Kyoos employees. They set their own rates, hours, and the work they accept.
The price shown to a client at booking is the price they pay. There is no platform fee, service charge, or markup added at any step. Pros receive 100% of the quoted price, paid out to mobile money or bank within 48 hours of job completion.
Both parties must honour the price agreed at booking. Once a client accepts a pro's quote and the pro accepts the booking, the price is fixed for the scope described. Clients cannot withhold or renegotiate after the work is done; pros cannot demand more on arrival or once the job is in progress. If the scope genuinely changes mid-job, both sides must agree to a new quote in the app before continuing.
Refusing to honour the agreed price — by either party — is a breach of these terms and may result in account suspension or, for repeat offences, permanent removal from the platform.
Tips, where given, also pass through in full.
Either party may cancel a booking at any time, for any reason, at no charge. We don't penalise clients for changing their plans, and we don't penalise pros for protecting their time. Repeated last-minute cancellations may, however, affect a pro's match priority or a client's ability to book on short notice.
You agree not to harass, discriminate against, or attempt to defraud anyone you meet through Kyoos. You agree not to circumvent the platform to avoid the protections it provides — including, but not limited to, taking bookings off-platform after meeting on Kyoos.
Violations result in account suspension and, where serious, referral to law enforcement.
If something goes wrong, our trust-and-safety team mediates within 7 days. If the matter cannot be resolved that way, disputes are governed by the laws of Ghana and submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Accra.
If we materially change these terms, we'll notify all users by email and in-app at least 30 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use after that date counts as acceptance.
